Edward Norton has starred in the films Primal Fear; Everyone Says I Love You; The People vs. Larry Flynt; Rounders; American History X; Fight Club; Keeping the Faith; The Score; Death to Smoochy; Red Dragon; and the just-released The 25th Hour, directed by Spike Lee. He also directed and produced Keeping the Faith, and he wrote the screenplay of the Oscar-nominated film Frida, about the life of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, starring Salma Hayek and directed by Julie Taymor. Norton has received two Academy Award nominations, as Best Actor for his performance in American History X and Best Supporting Actor for Primal Fear. That performance also earned him the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Norton first performed with Signature Theatre Company in the 1994 New York premiere of Edward Albee's Fragments and has served on the company's board since 1996. He also serves on the National Board of the Enterprise Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing for low-income families.
