Janet Miller has been a director, choreographer and educator for thirty years. Her choreography can be seen Off- Broadway at the Westside Theatre in The Marvelous Wonderettes. Ms. Miller is the Resident Director for Phantom Projects, resident director/choreographer for Brain Brew Inc., an interactive entertainment company based in Los Angeles and the Artistic Director for MB Players. She has worked on both coasts on such shows as Side By Side By Sondheim, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Fantasticks, Annie Get Your Gun, Dames At Sea, Urinetown, The Odd Couple, Taming of the Shrew, Of Mice and Men, and The Crucible to name a few. Her talents have taken her all over the world, working in diverse settings such as Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut and a theme park in Bangkok, Thailand. She has also taught musical theater dance and tap for Broadway Asia in China. She is the recipient of the 2003 Excellence in Art Award for Drama from the city of Torrance, and was awarded a 2003 Choreography Garland from Back Stage West for The Marvelous Wonderettes. She is also the recipient of the 2006 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Choreography for The Marvelous Wonderettes. In 2008, she was awarded a Garland and a LADCC award for choreography for Winter Wonderettes. JM holds a B.A. in musical theater from California State University Northridge, and an M.A. in theater from California State University Los Angeles. She is an adjunct faculty member at Cerritos College. Ms. Miller is a proud member of SSDC.
