Francis Jue

Personal Information
Yellow Face marked a happy return to the Public Theatre, where Francis also appeared in A Language of Their Own, The Winter’s Tale, Timon of Athens, King Lear, Hamlet, Richard II and Pericles. On Broadway, Francis originated the role of Bun Foo in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and appeared in Steven Sondheim and John Weidman’s Pacific Overtures and David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly. He has won awards for Cabaret (Best Actor, Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle), Pacific Overtures (Best Supporting Actor, Best Choreography, BATCC), Into the Woods (Best Supporting Actor, Best Choreography, BATCC), Red (Best Actor, Philly Award), The Illusion (Best Supporting Actor, Arizona Theatre Excellence Award) and Kiss of the Spiderwoman (Best Actor, Drama-Logue Award). Other favorite theatre credits include The King & I, Peter Pan, Amadeus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Question of Mercy, Floyd Collins and No Foreigners Beyond This Point. TV appearances include “Law & Order: SVU “and “One Life to Live.” This summer, Francis will play the Engineer in Miss Saigon. Thanks, David, Leigh, Oskar and Randy.
